- The VIII was the very first Evo model to have full UK factory approval and they were offered in a number of editions - the 260, FQ-300, FQ-320, FQ-340 and FQ-400 - with the final number corresponding roughly to the power output
- The FQ340 offered 345bhp, 320lb/ft of torque and was capable of 0-60 in 4.4 seconds and 157mph. Power was fed through a five-speed manual gearbox driving all four wheels via an Active Centre Differential (ACD) and Super Active Yaw Control (AYC)

- The gearbox was rebuilt by CPP Motor Developments of Sandbach in July 2022, whilst further maintenance includes a replacement clutch, routine servicing and belt changes supported by invoices on file
- Finished in Cool Silver Metallic (A31), it was supplied new by North City Autos Mitsubishi Ralliart in July 2004. It's accompanied by its original service book and a fully stamped Mitsubishi main dealer service history up to 82,237 miles in September 2020
