Local car supplied new by Lockyear Motors Ewhurst, in 8th of February 1990, and was registered in the vendors wife's name until July 2025 when it was transferred into the vendors name.

Big bumper model finished in Calypso Blue. Diamond cut tear drop alloy wheels, sunroof electric windows, iconic golf ball gear knob, original removable Panasonic cassette stereo system.

It had light use until October 1993, when the vendors work took his family to the Arabian Golf. From October 1993 to June 2001 the Golf was garaged at his home and was only used sparingly when we returned on annual leave at Christmas. Upon the vendors retirement in June 2001 until 2005 the car was used sparingly as a second vehicle, until a larger car became necessary due to access problems.

From 2006 until 2022 the car was almost exclusively used to enter VW Concours competitions, at GTI International, Stamford Hall, and elsewhere, and had a considerable amount spent on it to bring it up to, and maintain, Concours standard, and achieved some success. During these 16 years it recorded some 6000 miles.

Since 2022 it has covered less than 100 miles. For the past two years the vendor has been considering selling the Golf.

Large comprehensive history file documentation including the original invoice, service history and all 33 MOT certificates verifying the genuine low mileage. The cambelt was replace by Volkswizard in April 2010, since when the car has travelled less than 5000 miles.
