This 289 c.i. powered Fastback was originally delivered to Arizona to Dr. George Book, documented by its comprehensive history file. Paperwork traces the car from its first owner through to May 2020, kept faithfully in a dry climate, and in 2015, it was purchased by an enthusiast who undertook a full cosmetic overhaul. This is all detailed in a seven-page handwritten diary, which that owner began at 23,013 miles. He kept the car until March 2020 by which time it had covered just 24,149 miles. Imported to the UK in late 2020, it was sold to an elderly gentleman who drove it sparingly and maintained the car meticulously.

Reported by the owner to drive beautifully, this striking example is finished in its original Rangoon Red with a matching red interior. It also benefits from the original red Mustang floor mats, Mustang seat belts (front and rear) and even the correct red stereo speaker surrounds and Mustang keyrings. The interior reflects the low mileage, with virtually no wear apparent and even less in the rear fold-down seat/boot section. The 'trunk' carries the correct chequered Ford mat-covering and comes with a wheel brace and jack; the Mustang GT steel wheels and BF Goodrich tyres appear virtually unused and the chrome-work faultless. The paintwork shows very minor micro blistering; overall, however, it is extremely original from bumper to bumper, even down to the rear 'torpedo-style' indicators.
