Burton is a Dutch car brand manufactured by the garage and importer Burton Car Company. The company is based in Zutphen. It supplies complete cars and kit cars, based on a 2CV or an Acadiane from the French car manufacturer Citroën. BCC offers two models: the Burton, a sports car available with or without a roof, and a 2CV pick-up. The bodywork is made of polyester in both cases. As a garage and importer, it specialises in all Citroën A-types and kit cars, and also manufactures new parts. Burton claims to have one of the largest 2CV workshops in the world. The sale of Burton cars and parts is the company’s main activity. This sports car was designed by Burton in 1998. It was launched as the ‘Burton’ in 2000. It is not a replica, but Gobel did draw inspiration from famous brands such as Bugatti, Jaguar and Hispano Suiza.
