The fastest version of BMW's 02 series made its debut in September 1973 at the IAA in Frankfurt. The iconic 2002 Turbo, with its typical 1970s stripes, featured a KKK turbocharger - the first in a European production car. The turbo technology boosted the fuel-injected engine of the 2002 tii by another 40 hp. The BMW 2002 Turbo had a top speed of over 210 km/h. However, the model entered the market at exactly the wrong time. Due to the outbreak of the oil crisis, the petrol-guzzler model was relegated to a marginal role. Only 1672 examples were built from the spring of 1974 to the summer of 1975. They were available exclusively in white (Chamonix) and silver-grey (Polaris metallic). This BMW Turbo is a perfectly restored example and has Italian registration plates. The underside still looks perfect, as does the trunk of the car. The body panels all fit together well. It has a beautiful black interior with bucket seats, and everything under the hood still looks like new.
