The Yamaha YZ490J was the first model year of Yamaha's legendary big-bore ‘Beast’, introduced as the direct successor to the highly regarded YZ465. It was built around a massive, simplified air-cooled two-stroke engine and debuted Yamaha’s updated linkage-driven Mono-X rear suspension.

This bike has been offered to us by a very well-known vendor who has imported the bike from South Africa. It is in very good condition and starts. Three bikes have come from the same place and display the number 82 who is believed to be a famous rider in South Africa but we have been unable to identify the rider.
