The Velocette KTP is a rare, premium British motorcycle featuring a 348cc single overhead camshaft (OHC) engine. Designed by Percy Goodman as a high-performance sporting tourer, it combined a narrow, ultra-stiff crankcase with coil ignition. The ‘KTP’ designation directly denotes its K-series architecture and Twin Port exhaust design. Because the twin-port configuration suffered from heat distortion and lower performance than single-port variants, most original models were converted to single-port KSS specifications, as has been the case with this example.
This fantastic 30s Velo has been supplied with a V5 which seems to have a transferrable registration. The bike is an older restoration that still presents lovely. The bike has been in nice dry storage and we have some information from a past sale showing the bike had a full evaluation in 2023 and has seen very little use in its current ownership. This bike needs to be enjoyed and certainly would produce a crowd with the 30s elegant charm.
