- The Harley-Davidson Tour Glide Classic (FLTC) is one of Harley’s most interesting and underrated touring motorcycles. Produced in the 1980s, it was the luxury version of the FLT Tour Glide, and introduced many of the engineering features that became the foundation of Harley-Davidson’s modern touring range
- The original FLT Tour Glide appeared as a 1980 model and was a major departure from the traditional Electra Glide. It introduced a completely new, stiffer frame with a rubber-mounted engine to reduce vibration, 5-speed gearbox, frame-mounted fairing rather than a handlebar-mounted fairing and improved high-speed stability and touring comfort
- The Classic (FLTC) came with high-end touring gear including fibreglass hard, lockable saddlebags, a spacious rear 'King Tour-Pak' trunk with an integrated passenger backrest, full lower fairings equipped with small built-in storage gloveboxes, dual front disc brakes for improved stopping power and full-coverage luxury rider and passenger floorboards as standard
- This matching numbers example has been in long-term ownership/ storage and is supplied with its original Bill of Sale from FH Warr of Kings Road, London dated 21/04/1988, along with other period invoices, and its current V5C
- Mainly original and still fitted with its original exhausts, an excellent project
