Here we have an opportunity to get yourself a Jaguar XJR Saloon finished in the rare colour of spruce green contrasted with ivory leather, black wood trim and black carpets. A great colour combination! The big cat was first registered on 29/8/1997 to its first owner by TWR Jaguar. It was enjoyed for many years before heading to Northern Ireland, where it has been for 15 years in a very nice collection and used very sparingly as the previous MOTs will testify. Being a late 1997 example makes it one of the last 6-cyclinders made before the introduction of the V8.
The Jaguar comes with a very nice history in the form of lots of invoices and receipts, and old MOTs which sit very nicely with the current one valid until May 2027 that it passed with no advisories at all. Having met the vendor, this comes as no surprise as he is a very careful chap who looks after his collection and you can tell upon inspection. The paperwork carries on with its full book pack from new complete with a service book containing 12 stamps, and it even has its spare keys. This again speaks volumes about the care and attention that this Jaguar has enjoyed. It even has mats over the mats in the boot, and they are Jaguar factory mats, a nice touch.
We see a few older Jaguar saloons in various engines and specifications but it’s not often we see one like this. This example could go back into a collection or it could be a really cool daily driver. There is a trend happening at the moment where older top end cars are being used as daily’s, and we think this is a great idea. All the spec and performance, as well as the individuality that it brings. Who doesn’t want a bit of that?
