When the name “Koenigsegg” is mentioned, it is difficult to imagine a hypercar world without the Swedish hypercars that go along with it. Starting from humble beginnings with Christian von Koenigsegg in 1994, the hypercar manufacturer has now blossomed into a world-record setter and technological powerhouse that has resulted in many iconic performance cars built in limited numbers. From early beginnings with the CC8S, to the world-record setting Agera RS and the modern-day Jesko, Koenigsegg has always been known to push the envelope in building some of the most engaging and brutal performance cars to ever touch asphalt, with many of their cars being fully homologated for the U.S. market despite their company size and production. Each car is hand built in their factory in Sweden, with a total of less than 300 cars built over the course of their 32 year span since commencing operations.
The Koenigsegg Agera RS was the resulting continual development of the Agera S and Agera R, and the brutal One:1. First revealed in 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show, the Agera RS took some of the best parts of each iteration and combined them into one unified package. Utilizing the same carbon fiber monocoque structure with aluminum honeycomb, additional improvements lead to an increase in downforce to 450kg at 250km/h with active aerodynamics. The removable carbon fiber roof is storable in the front trunk when not in use, allowing the duality of a coupe or open top as needed. The aggressive aerodynamics package was lifted from the One:1, and other lightweighting additions were carried out that lead to Koenigsegg coining that the Agera RS was “the ultimate track tool” due to its track-optimized technologies. With only 25 examples built, it is an extremely limited production and exceedingly rare.
One of the most coveted upgrades available to the Agera RS was the Megawatt package, increasing the horsepower from the standard 1,160 horsepower from its Koenigsegg-designed 5.0L twin-turbo V8 engine, up to 1,341 horsepower, a reportedly $245,500 upgrade option. The Agera RS was the vehicle that took the world record for a verified 277.9 miles per hour in 2017, cementing Koenigsegg as the fastest hypercar manufacturer of all time. In a later record, a Koenigsegg Agera RS completed a 0-400-0 km/h run (0-248-0 miles per hour) in just 33.29 seconds! Carryover features such as full carbon bodywork, Koenigsegg's own hollowcore carbon fiber wheels, a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, Koenigsegg's patented Triplex suspension for improved ride quality with ultimate handling at high speeds, and more.
This 2018 Koenigsegg Agera RS is one of 25 examples built, and #24 of the 25. Produced in Arctic White with a bespoke red leather interior, it was optioned with the 1 Megawatt power upgrade along with a host of additional improvements listed below.

The Agera RS was first delivered to America in 2018. Upon arriving at Canepa, the Agera RS had accumulated 3,827 miles since delivery, working out to be just 478 miles per year. With $485,000 in Koenigsegg factory options, including the 1 Megawatt power upgrade, and the only Agera RS currently available in the United States, it's easy to see why this Agera RS is such a rarity. Hypercar performance, world-record setting pedigree, all from a company started just 34 years ago in Sweden. The Koenigsegg Agera RS is still an ultimate expression of performance, ready to be enjoyed and driven the way it was designed to be.
