- MV Agusta started producing motorcycles in 1945, founded by Domenico Agusta, located in Northern Italy
- Following WW2, motorcycle production in Italy boomed and the first MV Agusta machine, the MV 98, soon followed
- Racing very quickly became an important part of the business and success on track was followed by showroom sales
- World Championships quickly came with riders such as John Surtees, Giacomo Agostini and Phil Read
- Phil Read was gifted a 'mini replica GP bike' by the factory for his young son and was famously pictured sat on it with two traffic wardens next to him
- Interest was generated and the factory produced a small run of replica machines, powered by a 48cc two-stroke Morini engine, Dellorto carburettor and single speed gear with a centrifugal clutch
- This is a highly detailed replica of the GP Race Bike including a one-into-four exhaust, full fairing and wire wheels
- This restored example has been owned for over 20 years by our vendor and is in very good overall condition
