Estimated Price: £4,000 - £5,000
- One of the final generation of BSA's charismatic 'street scrambler' models, the Firebird evolved from the earlier Spitfire Hornet and became a North American market model from 1967 onwards
- Based on the contemporary Lightning and distinguished by its raised handlebars, sump shield and high-level exhaust system, the Firebird is today regarded as one of the most sought after of the oil-in-frame BSA models
- The 1971 model dropped the old rubber fork gaiters for a modern, exposed 'Slimline' telescopic fork. It also swapped out full hub brakes for lightweight, conical aluminium hubs equipped with a brake cooling duct
- A relative rarity in the UK, with the majority of production exported to North America when new
-
Believed to have been restored in 2005 and subsequently maintained in collector ownership
-
Purchased by its current owner in 2016 and once again joined a private Collection with no use during that period so some recommissioning maybe required
