We are delighted to offer this striking 1980 Triumph TR7, presented in superb condition following an extensive professional restoration completed by the current owner in 2023. Finished in an eye-catching British Airways inspired rally livery complete with period style auxiliary spot lamps, this distinctive example pays tribute to the iconic works rally cars of the era whilst retaining its original 2.0-litre engine and manual gearbox.

The restoration has been completed to an impressive standard, with thousands of pounds invested throughout and every stage documented by an extensive photographic record. Accompanying the TR is a substantial history file containing invoices and receipts relating to the restoration, together with the original bill of sale, owner's handbook, service pack and a selection of previous MOT certificates.

During the restoration, the bodywork received extensive attention with replacement inner and outer rear sills, repairs to sections of the rear floor pan and inner front wings before the cavities were professionally wax protected. The suspension was comprehensively overhauled with new springs, dampers, bushes and strut top bearings, while the braking system benefitted from new brake lines, cylinders, pipework, shoes, pads and overhauled callipers.

Mechanically, the engine has also received significant attention, including an overhauled water pump, skimmed cylinder head, new head gasket and fully overhauled carburettors. Further expenditure included a new clutch assembly and slave cylinder, stainless steel exhaust system, engine and gearbox mounts, ignition components, filters, electric cooling fan and battery. The vendor advises the engine starts on the button, runs beautifully and performs exactly as it should.

Today, the TR7 presents exceptionally well both inside and out, with its vibrant competition inspired livery, immaculate interior and detailed engine bay combining to create a TR7 that is equally suited to classic car shows, touring events or simply being enjoyed on the open road. With its extensive restoration, comprehensive supporting history and unmistakable presence, this is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a truly unique example of Triumph's iconic wedge-shaped sports car.
