- A very accessible Ferrari at this price
- Huge expenditure just completed
- One of the best shapes Ferrari made
- The right colour combination
We are pleased to bring to market this interesting Ferrari 360 Modena Coupe with the famed F1 gearbox and finished in the only colour for a Ferrari, red with black leather seats. This example was supplied new to its first owner by Maranello Concessionaries Ltd on 4/11/1999. It was serviced by Ferrari dealers in the early days, there are 6 stamps in the book, including one by Stratstone West Midlands from 7/3/2003 showing it as having cambelts.
The Ferrari comes with a set of invoices from July 2024 from Rushton Classic Engineering Ltd, who are based in Tiverton, Devon which is titled recommissioning statement and gives the following details of what was carried out:
“Hello Graham
I have attached the statement of works done on your Ferrari as requested and sent some pictures and a video on WhatApp.
If there is anything I have missed please let me know and I can change it.
There are a couple of items that still need attention:
Despite fitting the new airbag module, the light stays on at the dashboard. It needs a deeper software system than ours to overcome this. I have left the original module in the car in case it is the new module that is not compatible.
The air con system needs charging up. This is an oversight on my part, as I only realised this morning, and your car is due to be collected any minute. Most of the system has been either repaired or renewed so should be just a matter of a standard recharge.
The left side seat forward and reverse system is a slight problem. The switch does not work and we weren't able to find another. We found one for the driver's side in Japan if you remember.
However, we have left 2 wires protruding at the left side of the seat. If you connect a 12v live to one and earth to the other it will move it either forwards or backwards. If you change the wires around it will go the other way.
The battery cover supplied for the passenger footwell is for a left-hand drive model so it faces the wrong way.
It has been an absolute pleasure working for you, and sincerely hope you are satisfied with our work.
Kind Regards
Steve Rushton

Ferrari 360 Modena Recommissioning Statement
23/06/2026
The main synopsis of work carried out has been to recommission the car overall from engine and gearbox rectification to suspension and brake repairs.
There has also been replacement of most of the exhaust system and some key parts of the interior, including replacement seats, front carpets, centre console and various switch housings.
The engine was tested for compression and little wear was found. However, there were oil leaks.
The engine and gearbox were removed for renovation and to expose a 50mm crack in the offside engine support.
The car was then transported to an aluminium welding specialist to repair.
The engine had various parts removed and new gaskets and oil seals fitted. All new pulley belts were fitted.
The clutch was checked and was found to be in good condition.
All the outer areas of the engine were cleaned and renovated and the engine / gearbox installed.
New catalytic convertors were installed alongside the exhaust rear box.
The braking system was overhauled with new front and rear discs and pads.
Track rod ends were renewed along with new shock absorber bushes. The upper ball joints were also renewed.
Lower joints had new rubber boots fitted.
The water pump was dismantled and a new seal fitted.
A new windscreen washer bottle and pump were fitted.
Repairs were done to the air conditioning system, including new piping, condenser and drier. The system is now ready for refilling.
The interior had original replacement seats, new centre console and radio front.
New panels were fitted in the sides of the engine compartment along with new panels in the front boot area.”
The cost of all this work came to a staggering £27,596.70, which is quite a lot of money by anyone’s standards, and there is an accompanying breakdown on the collection of invoices. It comes with a V5, clear HPi report, a host of previous MOTs, some older V5 details, an invoice for a set of new tyres dated 28/5/2025, and a very comprehensive workshop manual. It would appear to have been off the road for a while before the recommissioning, although we have no information as to why, and as it is showing a higher-than-average mileage that you may expect to see on a Ferrari, it is only correct to assume that the paintwork could do with some attention so we really recommend you view first hand.
If you are looking for a Ferrari 360 that will be offered somewhat more affordable than you may expect, but has a had a lot of money spent on it and been enjoyed, this may be the one for you.
PLEASE NOTE: The air bag light is illuminated and will require further investigation.
