The Fiat Barchetta is a stylish and compact roadster produced by Fiat between 1995 and 2005, with a small additional production run in 2007. The name ‘Barchetta’ (Italian for ‘little boat’) refers to classic roadster designs and emphasises the car’s retro look. The model is known for its elegant design, lively handling and excellent manoeuvrability. Powered by a 1.8-litre DOHC four-cylinder engine producing 130 pk, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, front-wheel drive with sporty and responsive handling, and a lightweight body, all of which combine to create a playful and dynamic driving experience. Retro-inspired interior design with practical and comfortable details, leather upholstery and modern conveniences for its time. The Fiat Barchetta is often compared to the Mazda MX-5 Miata, but offers a unique Italian style.
