RELIANT / SCIMITAR GTE E ODVE SE5A / Saloon Doors / YELLOW

This Reliant Scimitar GTE is a two-owner SE5A that has been registered to its latest keeper since 1979. The car recently received a light restoration after spending a decade off the road, and now carries an advisory-free (optional) MoT to 1st June 2027. It also benefits from a manual transmission with optional overdrive, a stainless steel exhaust, and the registration HJD 91N which is reportedly valued at £1k. The odometer shows 50,854 miles.

The recent work was carried out by a specialist (with prior experience of restoring 3 Scimitars) who purchased it from our May 2025 sale. The project included a respray using several coats of primer and 3 coats of the original April Yellow. Other work involved a new fuel pump and filter, throttle pump diaphragm, engine oil, filter, spark plugs, battery, and fitting the original Wolfrace alloy wheels with 4 new tyres. The windscreen has been also been refitted and resealed with new rubber and trims, and the fuel tank has been flushed. In the vendor's words: “We purchased it from 'The Field of Dreams' at ACA, because despite the paintwork the car appeared to be an honest car with low ownership and mileage. Restoring it has turned out to be an absolute pleasure, and we are very pleased with the outcome. It drives extremely well, and is now ready to be used and enjoyed for many years to come.”

Paperwork comprises various old MOT certificates dating back to 1984 (at 48,880 miles), a few receipts relating to its recent overhaul, a club magazine, a couple of tax discs, and the V5C showing 1 former keeper.
