The 80s hot-hatch period served up a feast of delights for those of a certain age looking to indulge head-long into the genre. None more so than the Peugeot 205 GTi.

This particular ‘hottie’ is the 1.9-litre engine version and runs, drives and stops, and has been in the current owner’s hands for 14 years. It will need some time and investment to get it back to its prime.

The GTi had full under body and inner wing body protection by Rustmaster in 2012. It comes with two sets of keys with it being ‘delocked’ so access is via a remote fob for the central locking. The original book pack is included, as is the maintenance book with a couple of early service stamps. We have additional paperwork for various repairs and maintenance carried out.

This is an example that will need a comprehensive makeover and recommissioning yet appears to be a solid foundation for such an adventure. Once done, you will have a very special period hot hatch that you can enjoy or pass on for someone else to enjoy.
