- A landmark collaboration between Fiat and Ferrari, the Fiat Dino was engineered primarily to help Ferrari meet the FIA's Formula 2 racing homologation rules, which mandated that racing engines must be derived from a production car with at least 500 units built annually
- Powered by a 2.0-litre, all-Aluminium, DOHC 65-degree V6 (shared with the Ferrari Dino 206GT) offering 160bhp fed through a 5-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential
- This, left-hand drive example, was first registered in France in April 1968 and imported to the UK in 2013 by its previous owner who had owned it since the mid 2000s
- Documentation with the car confirm a 2011 top-end rebuild carried out in France at the cost of 2,500 EUROS, with copies of photos suggesting it has covered around 5,000km since then
- During its early years here it spent some time at a Dino specialist and benefitted from almost £8,000 worth of mechanical and maintenance work, as well as a partial floor-pan restoration and carb rebuild in 2015
- Supplied with a folder of invoices, French and UK registration documents, and a CD ROM of a workshop manual. The most recent invoice is for a service in 2017
- Purchased by our vendor from us in May 2019 and has been serviced since but little used so will require a level of recommissioning before regular road use
