  • Extensively modified
  • Imported in 2021

Imported to the UK in 2021 and first registered here on 1st October 2021, this 1958 Ford F100 short-bed pickup is offered finished in White with a Blue cloth interior and described by the vendor as being in average overall condition and was driven to the auction venue.

Power is provided by a 351 Cleveland V8 engine, recorded on the V5 as 3910cc, paired with an automatic transmission. Over the years, the truck has been extensively modified and now features a custom body kit, wide 295/50 R15 rear tyres, new front tyres and upgraded suspension believed to be Mustang-derived. Additional equipment includes power steering, disc brakes and aftermarket air conditioning.

Mechanically, the vendor advises that the truck starts readily, runs well, drives well and brakes effectively, while the V8 exhaust system delivers a notably vocal soundtrack. Potential purchasers should note that the handbrake is currently inoperative, and the electrical system, including some of the lighting, would benefit from further attention and adjustment.

The bodywork would benefit from cosmetic improvement in places, with some areas having been touched-in. Bubbling is evident in sections of the paintwork and bodywork, while corrosion can be seen on some of the chrome trim. Prospective bidders are encouraged to examine the photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition report. The rear load bed is described as structurally solid, although it would benefit from refinishing, either with paint or the installation of a wooden bed floor. The truck is currently presented without a tailgate.

Inside, the cabin is described as fair and usable. The driver's seat has a tear in the upholstery, as shown in the photographs, while the headlining, door cards and carpets are all reported to be in generally good order. The window tint film has peeled in places and this is visible in the accompanying images.

Overall, the vendor describes the F100 as a fun and enjoyable vehicle that runs well and offers plenty of character. It represents an appealing American classic that could be enjoyed immediately while being improved further over time. The truck carries a non-transferable registration mark as it was previously registered and used overseas before being imported into the UK and given the plate. It is recorded as having been manufactured in 1958.

Accompanying paperwork consists of the current V5 registration document and a previous V5. No additional history file, invoices or service records are supplied with the vehicle.
