Kawasaki developed the ZX-7 in response to the increasing number of racing oriented 750cc sport bikes being produced by its competitors in the late 1980s. By this time, Superbike racing had been growing in popularity worldwide, culminating in the introduction of the Superbike World Championship in 1988. The 1993 ZX-7 is the first model to feature Ram-Air; an engine air intake positioned next to the headlights on the front fairing. The ram air intake is ducted from the front of the motorcycle, through the frame and into the bottom side of the engine air-box.
This bike has come from a private collection along with a number of other bikes and has been in his ownership since 2019. It is in fabulous condition having been refreshed into Scott Russell, Muzzy Kawasaki race colours. It starts and runs fine but will require a battery and an MOT, as it has been stood for a little while. It comes with 1 key, full UK V5 and is clear on HPi.
