The Lotus Elise is a lightweight British sports car renowned for its pure driving experience, and this 1998 Series 1 example presents an appealing opportunity for enthusiasts.

Finished in silver with a grey interior and navy hood, this Elise is powered by the 1.8-litre petrol engine paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. The car displays just 15,600 miles and is described by the vendor as running and driving well, with the hood said to be in new condition.

The current keeper has owned the car for around eight months, following a 25-year ownership with the second owner. The car was purchased by the current vendor as a Category N vehicle following minor damage to the front and rear clams. These clams have since been removed and fully repaired as part of a comprehensive restoration carried out by the vendor, a former Team Lotus mechanic.

Further work includes the fitting of a new battery and K&N air filters, while S2 seats and a steering wheel have also been fitted. The Elise recently passed its MOT first time with no advisories, with the MOT valid until January 2027.
