Badged as the ‘Delta HF 4WD’ on its introduction in 1986, the model would prove a supremely capable rally car, winning the World Championship in both 1987 and 1988, yet in road trim remained a thoroughly practical family hatchback. A stylish Italian car that ticked all boxes, looks very squat and pretty, and handles like it should - a proper car for proper drivers. No ordinary five-door hot hatch, of course, power came from the 1,981cc 8 valve (2.0-litre) turbocharged petrol engine combined was combined with four-wheel drive, a key part of its success in the World Rally.

First registered in the UK in July 1998, this stunning looking Integrale has previously been registered in Germany and subsequently, there have been just 5 recorded keepers in the UK, with the current keeper since 2014. The current owner has owned the vehicle for 12 years and 3 months. ‘F486 JWD’ is finished in what we believe to be Monza Rosso with a Black cloth interior, and the vendor describes its general appearance as very good.

We are advised the Integrale has recently had an injector service, although we don’t have the date of the work on record. The German service book accompanies the car and records early entries which include a pre-delivery inspection completed on 30th August 1988 at 7km, an entry for work carried out on 4th February 1990 at 19,465km by a Lancia dealer in Berlin. An additional service was completed on 20th January 1991 at 19,821km, again by a Lancia dealer in Berlin. The service book also records a visit on 10th December 1992 at 26,594km at a Berlin Lancia dealer.

‘F486 JWD’ has previously been fully stripped for what we are told was an extensive nut and bolt restoration which included a respray, with the engine overhauled by T&T Racing and only covered some 300 miles since, so it will still require running-in. Other work includes an idle control valve was ordered and fitted in April 2026. A Clifford Concept 500 alarm and immobiliser, which is Thatcham Category 1 approved, was fitted in 2004. The specification includes Cobra seats, power-assisted steering, HF Integrale decals throughout, and FLI speakers. The vendor notes a few minor cosmetic marks, as shown in the photographs.

The accompanying paperwork file includes the old German registration booklet (the Fahrzeugbrief), along with MOT certificates, numerous invoices for works carried out, and the German Lancia service booklet.
