  • The Norton Commando is one of the most iconic British motorcycles ever built and was produced from 1967 to 1977, it was Norton's final and most successful parallel-twin design before the decline of the British motorcycle industry. It became famous for combining strong performance, distinctive styling, and surprisingly good handling
  • This late example from 1976 was owned by its original owner for less than a year and was then purchased by our vendor in 1977 and has been under his ownership since, for the last 50 years
  • A retired Police Officer, he ran it in standard MK3 trim until 2013 when he set about creating a fast cafe racer styled bike. It was sent to Norman White in Andover and the engine was taken from 828cc to 920cc and a  fast Special was built. The invoice for the extensive work totals over £5,000 and the bike was on the road until 2018 when it was last MOT'd
  • The bike comes with a current V5/C and is correctly classed as Historic. In addition there is an old style V5, lots of invoices for work done over the years, along with numerous old MOT's
  • The bike will need a full recommission, yet represents a fascinating project that with a little time and money would yield a very cool cafe racer for the road
