- First registered in 1964, this Daimler SP250 'Dart' is presented in Ferrari 'Tour de France Blu' over a beautifully retrimmed cream leather interior, showing approximately 95,000 miles at the time of cataloguing
- Cherished by its current owner for the last 20 years, during which time the car has undergone a comprehensive restoration carried out by a number of respected marque specialists, with every aspect approached as a long-term labour of love
- The fibreglass body was stripped back to the gel coat before being painstakingly prepared and refinished in Ferrari TDF Blu by a specialist bodyshop adjacent to Brands Hatch. Every external chrome component was removed and professionally re-chromed, before the completed finish was flat sanded, machine polished and ceramic coated by KDS of Gillingham. The paintwork received a further ceramic coating by DR Car Care in 2023
- The interior was completely retrimmed by Coopers of Bexleyheath, including new leather upholstery, dashboard trim, carpets, tonneau cover, mohair hood and a bespoke leather hood storage cover, creating a superbly presented cabin that complements the exterior finish
- Mechanical restoration was entrusted principally to renowned Daimler specialist, Rob Grinter of Earls Colne, with additional engine work completed by Hawks Classics of Northfleet. Our vendor advises that the philosophy throughout the restoration was to employ recognised specialists for each aspect of the work, resulting in a beautifully presented example offered with the benefit of long-term enthusiast ownership.
