1957 BMW isetta 250
£6,000.00 | €6,995.86 | $8,069.72

Estimated Price: £4,000 - £6,000

  • The pre-sliding window version of the 1957 BMW Isetta 250 is officially known as the "Standard" model (or Standardmodell in Germany). It is highly prized by collectors because it retains the original, purist "bubble car" aesthetic heavily derived from the initial Italian Iso design before BMW modernised the bodywork
  • Powered by a 247cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke (from the R25/3 motorcycle) offering 12bhp through a 3-speed and reverse gearbox
  • This example was supplied new in early 1957 to J Sodergren of Grimsby, a general dealer, and UK registered on 01/04/1957
  • Currently finished in Reseda Green with a green, white and yellow plaid covering on the seat. Much of the interior appears to be original with the dealers sticker and factory instruction decals still in place. The indicated mileage is 13,175
  • With a period of inactivity behind it, some recommissioning is suggested prior to returning this characterful little BMW to regular road use.
  • Accompanied by an original BMW handbook, an early MOT certificate and its original Buff Log Book, unfortunately, the current V5C Registration Document is missing so the successful bidder should therefore anticipate making an application for a replacement V5C with the DVLA
  • A wonderfully charismatic and increasingly collectable early example of BMW’s iconic Isetta, offering an opportunity to recommission and enjoy one of the sought-after 247cc, Bubble-windowed, Standard models.
