  • Extremely rare, pre-war Rytecraft Scootacar (frequently referred to as the Scooter Car) one of approximately 1,000 examples believed to have been produced between 1934 and 1940 by the British Motorboat Manufacturing Company in London
  • Ingeniously developed by engineer, Jack Shillan, from an original electric fairground dodgem car using lightweight 98cc two-stroke Villiers petrol power
  • While most were open single seaters, some commercial variants, called the Scootatruck, were built as miniature vans or pick-up trucks
  • Despite its tiny size, the microcar proved surprisingly durable. In the 1960s, a motorist named Jim Parkinson famously drove a 98cc Rytecraft Scootacar over 15,000 miles on a trip around the world
  • Surviving examples are highly collectable today, with specimens occasionally appearing at specialised auctions and on permanent display at venues like the Brooklands Museum
  • An outstanding collector's opportunity, ideal for museum display, historic events or as an irresistible attraction for enthusiasts of all ages
