  • Extensively restored example
  • Lots of paperwork
  • Chrome bumper conversion
  • Great attention to detail

We are very pleased to bring to market this exceptionally nice MGB Roadster finished in red with black interior and hood. According to HPi, the colour was changed from black to red in 2023. The MG has benefited from an extensive restoration and chrome bumper conversion, and is now sat on a set of Minilite-style alloy wheels. A great looking example in all ways. The interior has been improved with the seats re-upholstered in black quilted leather and red piping, new carpets and a wooden dashboard, which looks amazing and is a great place to sit. The B comes with a host of photos showing the restoration and a very detailed spreadsheet showing the expense that went with it. This is backed up with a collection of receipts and invoices, and even a diagram showing the upgraded wiring system. Just looking at it you can see the attention to detail it has enjoyed, even down to all the panel fits and the way it sits - a credit to whoever carried out the work. It even comes with its spare keys.

The vendor has kindly provided the following information:

We think this will give you an idea how well it has been cared for throughout its life, especially in its later life, especially as it has had a lot of money spent to get it to what we see before us here. We see a lot of MGs, but we can say with some confidence that this is one of the best ones we have come across in a while.

PLEASE NOTE: This Lot is recorded on HPI as ‘Category D Insurance Loss. Vehicle Damaged But Repairable - Insurer Decided Not To Repair 11/05/2005’.
