  • When BMC launched Alec Issigonis' revolutionary small car in August 1959, it was badged under two names: the Morris Mini-Minor and the Austin Se7en (often spelled with a '7' in early marketing). It wasn't until early 1962 that Austin officially dropped the Seven moniker and simply called it the Austin Mini
  • Finished in Farina Grey with a Blue and Grey Fleck cloth and leathercloth interior, 132 ALT (#A-A2S7-47207) was first registered on 01/08/1960 by the Austin dealer, Naylor and Root Ltd
  • It's considered a 'time warp' survivor, retaining the key classic Mk1 detail elements highly prized by classic car collectors including the floor-mounted starter button, pull-cord door releases, 'magic wand' gear lever and piano door hinges
  • An unusually well-provenanced example, showing just two former keepers, with the same family having owned the Mini for almost 50 years
  • The current owner acquired the car directly from a motor museum, where it had resided for a considerable period, adding an interesting chapter to its history and explaining its remarkably well-preserved presentation
  • The current indicated mileage is 40,575 which our vendor believes to be genuine, a claim supported by its limited number of former keepers and long-term family ownership
