  • Recent US import LHD
  • Benefitting from older restoration
  • Amazing appearance
  • Lots of paperwork

Here is an example that may interest you, an MGA 1600 convertible finished in Chariot red with a white soft top, tan seating and black carpets. This MG looks amazing in this combination, the chromework is fantastic and really sets off the red paintwork. It has its weather gear, a tonneau cover and a great looking chrome boot rack. The Roadster has benefitted from an earlier restoration and looks great with little wear. This MGA is a real good looker and would fit well into any situation you put it in.

The paperwork is quite good with a V5, HPi, paperwork from America and details from the MGA Owner’s Club in New York. It even comes with a heritage certificate that tells us that it was built in October 1960 in LHD form and sent to North America where it stayed until it was registered in the UK on 1/11/2025. We also know that it was in chariot red, which it still is, but had a black interior and a grey hood. We think it looks a whole lot better in its current combination. The MG was built with disc wheels, a heater and tubeless tyres. It currently sits on a correct set of period knock-on wire wheels, and again looks all the better for it. The paperwork carries on with a set of documents about all its import duties being paid.

With this MG being so well put together, looking as pretty as it does and coming with a fresh MOT (even though it doesn’t need one), it makes for an excellent buy whether you want to take it into Europe, back to the US or just keep it in the UK and enjoy it here. You could even convert it to RHD for very little cost. Whatever your desire, this is a good buy and needs to be seen to be appreciated. This is not your average MGA, it is much better than that!
