Subjected to a restoration several years ago, with many photographs on file, this rare Firebird is hard to ignore. A striking looking example, finished in what we believe is Martinique blue, it has an unquestionably aggressive stance and an equally raucous soundtrack. Definitely not for the shy and retiring amongst us!

We think the 6.6-litre engine has had some upgrading over the years, as we can see Mallory electronic ignition and other new parts have been fitted. Under the bonnet (hood) you can see that the suspension has been improved with the addition of aftermarket upper wishbones, presumably the lower wishbones will also have been done as well.

We are not sure if the fender flares are standard issue or retro fitted to create a ‘Trans Am’ look, but they certainly suit it. The aftermarket bolted alloy wheels are all in good shape, as are all the tyres. A pair of Recaro seats with 3 point seat belts hold you well on the inside.

As we all know, American muscle comes in many variations, so you need to see if this is the right one for you. Whoever is the successful bidder will undoubtedly carry on enhancing and improving this rare example as time goes on but they will also be able to enjoy it from day one.
