  • A beautiful example both in and out
  • Fabulous colour and specification
  • Cherished number
  • Lots of recent maintenance

We are very pleased to bring to market this stunning Daimler Super V8. A fabulous example in every way and exceptionally rare, especially with this mileage. The V8 is finished in a very rich ruby red metallic contrasted by ivory leather with matching piping and burr walnut with beautiful inlay, stunning! The specification is equally as impressive with everything that was available in 1997 with the addition of tracker and mudflaps. The best part for many is the rear seat space with the two-seat conversion complete with the full set of rear seat controls such as electric, heated, massage and every position switch available.

The history is rather good too; it has recently had a timing chain kit complete with water pump thermostat, plugs and fluids changed. Added to this was a back box, all done in October 2025 at a cost of a little under £1,000. It also had calipers and pads, bulbs, wipers and fluids. It comes with all its manuals and instruction books, and even has the business card of the salesman who sold it along with the selling dealer stickers, Henleys Jaguar / Daimler. The paperwork consists of a host of invoices and receipts, both from the UK and Monaco, as well as details from the Tracker which it had fitted from new. It also comes with the private plate ‘R15 STE’.

The vendor has kindly provided the following details:

“Calling all Daimler Enthusiasts, here is a one off, 19,000 miles from new.
Fantastic life story from Monaco to Edinburgh, still smells new, for a 1997 Daimler Super Eight you can't find better, was part of a private collection, until August 2025.
I have spent months ensuring everything is working and an MOT, to make sure it is the best available.
Low mileage cars you still do have to ensure the suspension, mechanical elements are maintained, with limited history at first, I started from scratch, oils, rear exhaust back box, front brake calipers and pads, the car then simply needed cleaning and driving.
All invoices, kept, documented, fresh Lanoguard under seal.
Originally supplied by Henleys of Henley on Thames, the registration was chosen by the first Doctor owner and has remained with the car, moving from Golders Green to Monaco, then changing hands around 2007 via a Daimler specialist in West London to a well-respected and manager of the then SMT group in Scotland as a private collection piece. The car remaining with him for almost 20 years.
The elegance and build quality are head and shoulders above the Jaguar XJ, I’ve owned several over the years, the ride quality is superb, leather support within the seats gives a more sumptuous feeling, the half wood steering wheel, veneer picnic tables a stamp of quality from a period when limousine ride quality and style made buying British high value cars the obvious choice. 19,000 miles from new please make your own independent checks on DVLA website.
I have personally invested over £2,000 over the last 10 months.
The car has been independently valued between £22,500 and 24,000.
I am semi-retired, enjoy taking the time to get my little collection the best I can. Having spoken to ex-owner and the Dealer can actually remember the car from back in 2007 and 2011. As an exceptional example.
Only reason this car is coming available to market, we have plans to move to a Scottish Island, once we fully retire, simply not a practical place to store classic vehicles.
Summary: car registered by Dealer August 1997, then registered by our first owner in October 1997.
As the saying goes you could drive to the south of France in this, well the Doctor owner did exactly that many times, stayed, and garaged the car.
10, 000 miles service carried out in West London 2003.
13,346 miles the car is given service and MOT by Daimler dealer and purchased by the main custodian of this time warp example until 2025 when ill health forced sale.
I‘ve covered 1,356 miles in the last 12 months.”

There is nothing like seeing this V8 in the flesh to take in the beauty of this magnificent machine. It is often said “try and find another one”, chances are you never will!
