Here we have a very rare example on offer, a BMW Z3 2.8i Fiji Edition with the wide body. The Fiji Edition was a car that BMW launched and made very individual, and they didn’t make very many, especially the 2.8i. What made them different was the colour combination; they were finished in Fiji green with blue individual leather with piping and a blue hood. This particular Z3 has had a hood change and is now black. It was originally registered on 19/5/1999 by BMW GB themselves and has only had four owners in total. When BMW register for their use, they always have a big specification and this is just one of them. It has a host of extras, including the original floor mats, ASC, heated seats, air conditioning (very rare and expensive on a Z3), electric hood and the chrome pack. This would in the greater scheme of things been very expensive for a Z3 back in the day.
Whilst it is showing 130,000 miles, it has been maintained very well and is sat on a matching set of Continental tyres. The vendor advises that he has changed the pads and discs, fuel filter, and cam shaft sensor amongst other things. The Z still has its original BMW factory radio cassette as well and its spare key. It comes with a service book containing 11 stamps, and all its service pack and manuals in its BMW folder complete with the business cards from a BMW dealership who sold it used, Barons of Hindhead.
This is a great looking example that needs a closer look. It is very rare due to its specification, limited edition status, low ownership and of course that amazing 2.8i engine giving huge performance. What a great package!
