Although records suggest that ‘KOF 19E’ left the factory as a two-door saloon rather than as a factory-built Tourer (convertible), it has been converted to make for a delightful open-top classic, perfectly suited to summer motoring while capturing the spirit of the original Cowley-built Tourers. Finished in Dove Grey with a complementing sumptuously rich Red interior, this charming Morris Minor was first registered on 6th July 1967.
‘KOF 19E’s’ paintwork presents very well overall. There is a small area of corrosion on the passenger side rear sill, together with some minor surface corrosion to the rear section of the driver's side sill. These blemishes do little to detract from what is otherwise a smart and appealing example of the ever-popular Morris Minor Tourer. Presenting particularly well inside, the interior, with its Red seats, carpets, door cards and trim, are all reported to be in ‘very good’ condition. The soft-top hood is also in very good order.
The vendor has owned the vehicle since 2023 and describes its overall appearance as ‘very good’ and further comments that mechanically, ‘the Minor starts readily, runs well and drives nicely’. Although now exempt from MOT testing, the reassuring news is that the car benefits from an MOT valid until August 2027.
DVLA MOT history can be traced back to 2006, with additional MOT certificates and supporting documentation contained within the history file, providing a useful record of the car's past maintenance and use. The history file shows that the Morris Minor has benefited from regular maintenance and upkeep.
We are grateful for the following information as supplied by the vendor. Most recently, in August 2026, the car was MOT tested and both steering rack gaiters were renewed. In May 2025, the vehicle underwent a programme of work to bring it up to an MOT standard. This included a compression test, inspection of the ignition system with no faults identified, adjustment of the brake master cylinder, replacement of fuel hoses and a road test, after which the vehicle was found to be performing correctly. In 2018, an electronic fuel pump was fitted. During 2017, various areas of the vehicle were investigated and inspected, and a tracking check was carried out with no issues reported. In 2015, both rear wheel cylinders were replaced, a new carpet set was fitted, and the replacement hood was installed. In addition to these recorded works, the history file contains numerous invoices and receipts.
The open-top Minor is accompanied by its current V5C registration document along with the history file which includes a collection of old MOT paperwork, invoices, receipts for parts purchased and maintenance work carried out over the years.
