Introduced as Yamaha's first production trials machine, the TY250A/B models featured a signature high-torque engine developed alongside trials legend Mick Andrews. In 1984, the TY250 was heavily updated with a Monocross linked rear suspension and a 6-speed gearbox, serving as a street-legal version of the TY250R competition model.

This bike has come from a local vendor who has owned and competed the bike for many years including the Isle of Man 2 Day Trial on a number of occasions. The bike starts well and runs nicely and is road registered, however, the vendor has been unable to locate the V5 so one would need to be applied for by a new keeper.
