Chassis No. WP0JB0923KS860355

Finished at Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen in September 1988, this low-mileage 928 S4 retains its original configuration of Grand Prix White over an optional Silk Grey supple leather interior, as confirmed by its digital build sheet. Because the 928 S4 came so thoroughly equipped as standard, the options list was limited and as a result this example was equipped with lumbar support for the driver's seat, a sport steering wheel with elevated hub, and the aforementioned supple leather interior.

Firmly established as Porsche's halo car at the time, it was priced nearly $10,000 more than the 911 Speedster and even a few thousand above a 911 Turbo Coupe. The clean CARFAX Report for this example reveals it was delivered new to an owner in Florida and first registered in July 1989. Owners in West Virginia and California followed, with each preserving the 5.0-liter V8-powered Porsche while adding only lightly to its mileage, which had just crested 30,000 by 2005.

Offered today with less than 40,000 miles, this beautifully preserved 928 S4 stands apart from higher-mileage examples. It is accompanied by a service history file dating back to 2012. Most recently, in 2026, a new battery was installed along with brake work, fresh engine oil, and a new filter with the work conducted in-house by the consignor. It also wears a set of multi-piece BBS RS wheels with gold centers and polished lips, an uncommon sight on a 928.

Survivors of this caliber are rarely encountered, and as Porsche enthusiasts increasingly appreciate the 928 S4's ability to make long distances disappear, examples such as this become all the more compelling. With its formidable V8, exceptional high-speed composure, and supple interior, it remains a machine built to cover serious ground, where the miles seem to pass almost as quickly as the scenery.
