Based on the 575M Maranello, the limited-production Ferrari Superamerica stands out as the first production car to feature a rotating electrochromic glass roof, transforming it from a coupé into a convertible in just seconds. Its 5.75-liter V12, paired with Ferrari's F1 transmission, produces 540 CV and propels the car to a top speed of 320 km/h. More powerful than its predecessor, it combines the astonishing performance of a berlinetta powered by the most traditional of engines-the Ferrari twelve-cylinder-with the versatility of a convertible.
Delivered new on 5 September 2005 to a German Count through official Ferrari dealer AC-Maranello Auto in Ljubljana, this Superamerica was specified in an intense all-black color combination, with Nero Daytona exterior paint, Nero brake calipers, and a Pelle Nera (black leather) interior accented by optional red seat piping. It was also equipped with a set of luggage, a Hi-Fi CD system, and a battery charger according to the accompanying original invoice.
The car's history is remarkably clear, and it retains an almost complete file of documentation. All correspondence relating to its purchase new is present, including the owner's choice and deliberations over the equipment specification five months before delivery-the choice of black brake calipers, for example, was particularly decisive-as well as the letter notifying him that the car had been produced. The original factory books, including the stamped service book, together with the numerous invoices in the file, confirm that from 2008 to 2020 the car was maintained exclusively by Ferrari Hamburg, also known as Tamsen Hamburg and Penske Sportwagen Hamburg.
Beginning in 2019, when the car had covered just 25,128 km-fewer than 200 km below its current reading-the owner who had ordered the car new and carefully selected its specification began considering parting with it. The previous year, he had refreshed the car's already very fine original condition by repainting the front bumper, hood, and both doors, as well as having the dashboard reupholstered in leather and the roof system serviced, including replacement of its motors. The roof system functions properly, although the dimming function may require attention. He then commissioned a major service, including replacement of the timing belts, followed by further work on the car's electrical system in 2020.
The current caretaker has added no further mileage to the odometer, making the German Count the sole owner to have enjoyed the car behind the wheel. Finding the majority of the car's original paintwork still intact, they had it treated with a Hydro-Gloss ceramic coating in May 2026. More recently, in August 2026, the car underwent a service that included new timing belts, filters, and sensors and replacement of the tire-pressure monitoring sensors-using all original Ferrari parts.
