Motoring history is filled with a seemingly infinite number of ''what ifs''-cars which vanished when ambitions outstretched budgets, accounting departments had their final say, or racing rulebooks changed overnight.
In the early 2000s, Ferrari chose the mid-engine 360 Modena as its primary GT competitor, but clients chasing glory in GT1 needed a more powerful weapon. Famed U.K.-based firm Prodrive was privately contracted to build the fire-breathing 550 GTC and ultimately produced ten chassis with tremendous success. In 2003, the Ferrari factory, through its Corsa Clienti program, announced the 575 GTC, building an additional 12 chassis for the Le Mans Endurance Series, FIA GT Championship, and American Le Mans series.
Enter Kaeve Supreme Cars of The Netherlands. Starting with a standard donor 575M Maranello, the team painstakingly built this road-going 575 GTC homage. One of two created, along with the red sister car sold at Broad Arrow's 2025 Zürich Auction, nearly every body panel, except for the factory roof and door skins, was replaced with bespoke wide-body carbon fiber panels. The front bumper features a large splitter with integrated cooling ducts, while the rear end is dominated by a massive diffuser and adjustable rear wing. The body was then finished off in a striking shade of Tour de France Blue.
Inside, adjustable Sparco bucket seats, lightweight carbon door panels, sliding Lexan side windows, and an integrated roll cage behind the seats provide a racy atmosphere. Alcantara covers the dash, console, and headliner for a touch of civility.
Mechanically, the 575M's 5.7-liter V12 remains largely standard, gaining high-flow air filters and a TÜV-approved sports exhaust system. The chassis is reworked with bespoke Intrax dampers and springs, designed to work with the widened front and rear track. The excellent standard 575 brakes are retained for both tractability and serviceability. Lastly, a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires are mounted on multi-spoke center-lock wheels, completing the visually arresting package.
With presence unlike any other 575M Maranello on the road, this wonderfully crafted example built by Kaevecars, who also are responsible for Lot 172, the astonishing Shooting Break Homage designed by Niels van Roij Design, offers the new owner a remarkable opportunity to become the new custodian of a very special commission which was five years in the making. This striking 575M boldly answers what many have wondered, doing so with thoughtful design and impressive execution.
