Unveiled in October 2015, the F12tdf took its name from the Tour de France Automobile, the grueling multi-day contest of circuit races, hillclimbs, and road stages that Ferrari's 250 GT berlinettas dominated through the late 1950s and early 1960s. Like those dual-purpose competition cars, the F12tdf was conceived to be equally at home on the road and the circuit, and Ferrari limited production to just 799 examples, offered exclusively to its most established clients. Derived from the F12berlinetta, it was also the last Ferrari styled in collaboration with Pininfarina.

Its 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 was revised with solid tappets, a larger throttle body, and variable-length intake runners to produce 780 CV at 8,500 rpm, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated V12 in any non-hybrid production car at its introduction. Ferrari shed some 110 kilograms through extensive use of carbon fiber, raised downforce by a claimed 87 percent, and introduced its first rear-wheel-steering system, the Passo Corto Virtuale. The result was a Fiorano lap time two seconds quicker than the standard F12berlinetta.

This stunning example, chassis number 224685, was completed at Maranello in early 2017. Ferrari's special-series “Yellow Book,” issued on 8 February 2017, captures the car on the factory floor and records its original serial numbers and specification. Delivered through Garage Zenith SA of Sion, Switzerland, the car completed its pre-delivery inspection on 31 March 2017 and was first registered that May.

The bodywork is finished in Alluminio Opaco, a matte aluminum hue that beautifully draws attention to every vent, crease, and aerodynamic surface of Pininfarina's final Ferrari design. Special-order matte carbon fiber provides contrast throughout the exterior, spanning the front lip, front intakes, headlamp buckets, engine cover, side skirts, rear fascia, rear diffuser, and the wheel center caps.

The cabin is trimmed in Nero Alcantara and enlivened throughout with bold Giallo accents. Yellow leather stripes divide the centers of the large-size carbon-fiber racing seats, the Cavallino Rampante is embroidered in yellow on each headrest, and yellow seatbelts, contrast stitching, tachometer, and special-order button and air vent bezels carry the theme across the dashboard, door panels, and console. The matte carbon fiber continues on the door panels, center console, door sill plates, and rear bench trim. The car was also ordered with a suite of practical amenities including the Suspension Lifter, Ferrari Telemetry, Adaptive Frontlight System, Integrated Audio System, High Power Hi-Fi System, Radionavi System with Bluetooth, Front and Rear Parking Cameras, and the Track Inner Cams Kit.

The accompanying service book is fully stamped, recording annual maintenance at authorized Ferrari service centers in the Zürich area from new. Between 2018 and 2022, the F12tdf was serviced by octane126, the official Ferrari service center in Wallisellen. The car passed to its second and current owner in early 2023 and has since been maintained by B.I. Collection, the official Ferrari dealer in Zürich. Invoices on file document an August 2023 service under Ferrari's seven-year Genuine Maintenance program, which included fresh air filters and brake fluid. A further February 2025 service included new drive belts, brake fluid, and a new battery. Most recently, in May 2026, the oil, oil filter, air filters, and cabin filter were renewed, the electric parking brake control unit was replaced, and a new pair of Pirelli P Zero Corsa rear tires were fitted.

The F12tdf was originally delivered on black-finished wheels and currently wears wheels of the same design finished in silver. The original black set, mounted on Pirelli tires, accompanies the car. It is further offered with its service book, owner's manuals, service invoices, and the aforementioned Yellow Book.

Ferrari's special-series V12 berlinettas have been coveted by their owners from the moment they left Maranello, and their standing has only grown since each went out of production. The F12tdf took up the mantle from the 599 GTO, set the template the 812 Competizione would follow, and was the last Ferrari to bear Pininfarina's pen, closing a partnership that had shaped Ferrari's road cars for more than six decades. Chassis 224685 is a compelling example on every front, from its special-order matte livery and yellow-accented cabin to its two-owner history, matching service documentation, and just 13,601 km covered from new. It honors its namesakes in the fullest sense, as much at ease on the open road as it is at speed on the circuit.
