  • A very rare Gemballa GT 700
  • Great looking example
  • Lots of paperwork
  • Lots of money spent over the years

When was the last time you saw one of these, have you ever seen one of these? Well, let us tell you what it is! It’s a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S with a twist, and the twist is the conversion that this example has enjoyed. It has a Gemballa conversion, which completely changes the dynamics in a good way, and you may never see another one. This example, finished in black with black leather, left Porsche Reading on 26/3/2006 to its first owner as a standard Turbo S. That’s special enough, but a little later in its life it was converted into what we see now. It looks a little different to your standard example with things like an individual interior, 22” black special alloy wheels, privacy glass and red calipers, amongst other things.

The Porsche has a host of paperwork detailing things that have been done including the conversion, a music upgrade and a new engine with the help of the warranty company, invoices and bills, and older MOTs which sit very well with the current one valid to August 2027. It also has its manuals and a service book containing stamps and its spare key.

Gemballa GmbH is an automobile manufacturing and tuning company based in Leonberg, Germany, specialising in customisation and aftermarket parts mainly for Porsches. Gemballa was founded by and named after Uwe Gemballa in 1981. Gemballa also offered a modification package for the first-generation Porsche Cayenne Turbo. This package features a number of engine modifications, including revised turbochargers, coolers (oil and pressurized air IC) and a large collection of engine components including pistons and seals. These allow the Cayenne to produce up to around 750 brake horsepower. The kit also features a number of exterior modifications. The number of full conversion Cayenne’s is very low.

The vendor has kindly provided the following information:

“I purchased the car at great cost in 2017. The original bill of sale is included. As a standard car the price was £87,015. I treated the car in December 2017 to a new in car entertainment system at £3750 (invoice in the file) which remains with the car.

In November 2016 the car had 2 new turbo chargers with other bits at a cost of £2,748.91 and rocker gaskets and air con condenser, breather pipes, etc. at a total cost of £3,473.41. Major service carried out by Porsche specialist in 2015 at a cost of £975.60. The car is serviced regularly. In December 2014 the previous owner sent the car to Gemballa in Germany and had near 35,000 euros spent. Invoice attached. The car has a mountain of official Porsche and specialist service bills and various work carried out on the car. There is the Gemballa ECU included in the sale, but the owner has a standard Turbo S fitted ECU installed.

Under warranty the engine was changed as it developed bore scoring in 2018. The excess alone that was paid by me was £5,158.15. We estimate the total cost was in the region of £20,000. The car has done only 18,000 on the new engine. This car doesn't get used hence the sale.”

This is a right eyeful and a very rare example that will make certainly you stand out!
