Chassis No. ZFFZR49B000112610
Delivered new in Switzerland through Emil Frey in 1998, this Ferrari 550 Maranello is a Pininfarina-designed grand tourer that marked Ferrari's return to a front-engine V12 configuration, specified from new with the highly desirable gated six-speed manual transmission. Finished in the handsome combination of Grigio Titanio over Rosso leather upholstery, the car still retains this elegant factory specification to this day.
Showing just 62,501 kilometers on the odometer at the time of cataloging, as supported by the service coupons in its original stamped service book, the car was regularly maintained, first by its supplying dealer, Emil Frey, and subsequently by Ferrari Lausanne and Ferrari specialists Gross Garage in Horw in 2008, before remaining off the road for a period of time, with the odometer staying at around 60,000 kilometers.
Its second owner would add only a little over 2,000 kilometers to the total, with the car receiving a recent major service by Modena Motorsport in Germany in May 2026. The important timing belts were replaced, while the car also benefited from correction of the well-known sticky interior components common to Ferraris of this era. The original Grigio Titanio paintwork was carefully corrected, the underbody was given a dry-ice cleaning, along with fresh fluids and new filters. The air-conditioning system was also serviced, and four Continental tires were fitted.
With just 62,501 kilometers, its original color combination, and recent comprehensive servicing, this 550 Maranello is a car meant to be driven and enjoyed. It offers an appealing entry into front-engine V12 Ferrari ownership, combining the marque's enduring grand touring tradition with the modernity that defined Ferrari's approach to the dawn of the new millennium.
