Here we have a very rare opportunity to get yourself a very nice VW Golf GTi with the famous 16v engine. It has enjoyed a restoration recently and looks very fresh, and would appear to be factory standard, maybe with the exception of the music system. The Golf is sat on a set of Ronal alloy wheels, which were an option back in the day from VW dealers. It was registered on 29/9/1988 to its first owner, and has a nice specification with such things as the aforementioned wheels sat on a set of new tyres, factory sunroof, Sparco pedals, and the twin lights front grille, all making for a very good-looking example.
The condition of the interior is equally as good as the exterior, both very clean and presented as they should be with nice things like no speaker holes in the doors or the parcel shelf. The paperwork is huge with invoices and receipts going back over many years showing the care and attention that this GTi has enjoyed throughout its life. It would appear that it has been owned by an enthusiast as there is a collection of photos from VW shows showing other Golfs and such things. The boot area is clean and tidy, as is the engine bay, again all looking factory standard. It is difficult to find a VW golf that has not been modded in some way and rather refreshing, so this is a good buy for someone. This is an everyday example that will turn heads and something to be proud of when you go to shows and meets.
But please don’t take our word for it, take a closer look for yourself and hopefully you will agree with us that this is a nice, clean and tidy VW Golf GTi 16V that will be become a part of your life.
