Estimated Price: £25,000 - £30,000
- First shown in London at the October 1966 Earls Court Motor Show, the Jensen Interceptor Mk l was produced for just three years and only 1,024 examples were built, of which just 923 were in right-hand drive
- Chassis #115/2584 (aka ‘Lola’ to our vendor) is an intriguing example; being a very early West Bromwich built car, it retains some earlier Vignale-built specification parts, including window switches, Beechwood fillets to the front screen, a stainless-steel bonnet pull, 'hockey sticks' to side windows, Jensen side emblem, an emergency boot release (a wire-pull underneath the car), and recesses in the rear of the backseats (to house rear window demisting fans)
- Fitted with a rare Black Ambla interior and even rarer front-end modifications, including power steering added by way of removing the outmoded kingpin front suspension of the Mk I and adding the superior independent, coil-sprung, ball-jointed wishbone suspension of the Mk II, all sleeved and completed by Jensen Motors Ltd
- Campaigned in numerous regulatory rallies, namely the 2005 15th CRA Winter Challenge to Monte Carlo and others
- Acquired by our vendor in 2010, who has overseen work done to some areas of rust on the bodywork (including tailgate) and a respray (in 2016; c.£12,500), an overhaul of the sills, floorpans and gearbox (in 2011; c.£3,500), the fitment of an Edelbrock carburettor, electronic ignition and new rear brakes (2023), plus new front brake calipers (2026); a stainless steel fuel tank has also been utilised
- In good usable condition and accompanied by numerous spares (see photos, list upon request) plus its original Carter carburettor
