1971 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagode The Mercedes-Benz 280 SL, better known as the 'Pagode', is one of the German brand's most beloved classic roadsters. Designed under the direction of Paul Bracq, the model is known for its timeless styling, refined engineering, and excellent driving characteristics. The 280 SL was the final and most powerful version of the W113 series, which was produced between 1963 and 1971. With its characteristic body lines, generous use of chrome, and the recognizable, slightly concave hardtop, the Pagode grew into one of the most distinctive Mercedes-Benz models of this period. This particular example dates from 1971, the last production year of the W113, and is finished in the stylish color Papyrusweiss (717), combined with a dark blue interior. The classic color combination is beautifully complemented by the chrome hubcaps and tires with white sidewalls. The car features a new dark blue soft topand also comes with the matching hardtop.
