Here we have a Mercedes SL 320 from 1998. At this moment in time, these are very reasonable to buy but it won’t be long before prices start to climb. As they get older, there are less of them on the market, hence the price rises. This example was supplied new to its first owner on 14/5/1998 by Mercedes in Germany. It was a nice thing to do back then to go to the factory and collect your car, which may have been the case with this SL as the HPi does not show it as an import. The Benz is finished in Azurite blue with cream leather and sits on a nice set of AMG alloy wheels, possibly slightly newer than the car itself, and comes with a factory hard top still attached.

The paperwork is rather good with a large collection of older MOTs and lots of invoices both from Mercedes and independent dealers. This is backed up with a full book pack complete with two service books showing many visits to dealers for work, a nice thing to see. We also have the spare keys with it as well. One other nice touch is that it has only had five previous owners from new, often these have many keepers over the years. There is even details of it changing hands very early in it life to a new owner.

We can’t tell you it is perfect but with a little TLC this will be a very nice SL to own with a great colour combination and a nice specification. Best of all, it is being offered at No Reserve so take a look and see what you think.
