On March 18th 2019, Fisker announced an all-electric SUV to be launched in 2021. It was intended to be the first of three in a line-up of mass-market all-electric vehicles designed by Henrik Fisker and originally planned to be produced in the US. Later named the Fisker Ocean, the company advertised that it would have a range of 'close to 300 miles', available on the lowest-cost option.

This is a superb low-mileage example of the flagship Fisker Ocean Extreme AWD, finished in stunning Blue Planet metallic with the Black Abyss interior and desirable 22-inch F3 SlipStream bi-colour black and silver alloy wheels. The range-topping Extreme combines dual-motor four-wheel drive with the large 113kWh Hyper Range battery, producing approximately 560bhp and 737Nm, with 0-62mph in around 3.9 seconds. It offered an impressive official WLTP range of up to 440 miles, making it one of the longest-range electric SUVs available when launched. A real highlight is the SolarSky panoramic solar roof which provides free charging via sunlight, complemented by Fisker's ingenious California Mode, which opens the roof together with the side and rear glass at the touch of a button. Driving modes include Earth, Fun, Hyper together with Boost for maximum performance. The display confirms that no 'boosts' have ever been used.

The beautifully spacious cabin features the huge 17.1-inch Revolve touchscreen, which rotates between portrait and landscape orientation. Also included are Fisker Pulse premium audio, possible integration of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital rear-view mirror, 360-degree surround-view cameras, adaptive cruise control and Fisker Intelligent Pilot driver-assistance technology. Comfort and convenience equipment is equally impressive, including heated and electrically adjustable front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, Limo Mode rear-seat controls, dual-zone climate control, heat pump, keyless start, powered tailgate, wireless phone charging and multiple USB charging points.

It also features the particularly useful 230V UK three-pin mains power socket in the rear, allowing electrical equipment to be powered directly from the car. This example has benefited from several worthwhile and essential updates, including 2.1 software, a new 12V battery with Bluetooth battery-health monitor, new water pump and the later generation two door handles.

Although this car has covered 11,000 miles on private test roads, we are informed that due to this being one of the last cars made by Fisker before the demise of their UK company its registration with the DVLA was never completed. Over the years any accompanying paperwork was misplaced, and it would be the responsibility of the new keeper to register the car with the DVLA. Consigned by Dominic Lake
