Finished in attractive metallic gold with complementary tan cloth upholstery, this automatic example is also equipped with a factory sliding sunroof and a Blaupunkt Toronto radio. Having covered 139,000 miles, it presents very well and is accompanied by its original owner's manual and service book. The service history is particularly impressive, with no fewer than 26 stamps recorded in the original service book, dating back to 1985 at just 28,000 miles. Much of the earlier maintenance was carried out by Mercedes-Benz main dealers, with subsequent servicing entrusted to marque specialists and independent garages.
More recently, the car has benefited from a number of maintenance works, including expenditure of approximately £2,300 in 2019 on a new water pump, gearbox and differential oil, power steering fluid, engine mounts, thermostat and tailgate struts. A further £520 was spent in 2020 on a new fuel pump and relay, while subsequent works included brake hoses, exhaust hangers and a prop shaft coupling, amongst other items. Regular oil and filter changes are also recorded through to 2025.
Clearly a cherished example, the Mercedes-Benz has formed part of our vendor's collection, who is a genuine enthusiast for the marque. With its excellent history, attractive colour combination and practical estate bodywork, this is a particularly appealing example of Mercedes-Benz's highly regarded W123 range. It is offered with an MoT test certificate valid until June 2027. Consigned by Fraser Smith
