Following Bentley's acquisition by Rolls-Royce in 1931, production eventually settled at Crewe, where the marque continued to develop its reputation for producing exceptionally refined and capable luxury motor cars. Introduced in 1984, the Bentley Eight offered a slightly sportier interpretation of the established Mulsanne, with subtle chassis improvements and a distinctive mesh grille. Proving popular in both the UK and overseas markets, it remains an appealing example of traditional Bentley craftsmanship.

This attractive left hand drive example was originally supplied to Japan and is finished in metallic grey with the particularly desirable and relatively rare Claret leather upholstery. Having had just two previous owners, the car is accompanied by its original books and manuals, including English-language examples, a mileage guarantee certificate up to 35,000km and an electronic 96-page copy of its original build sheets.

Since acquiring the car in 2024, the current owner has invested in its maintenance and improvement. Work carried out by Bentley specialists Harvey Walsh Ltd in December 2025 totalled approximately £2,300 and included attention to the ignition and fuel systems, electric windows, central locking, door mechanisms and seat controls, together with new front brake pads, drive belts, a front ball joint and various other items. A further £615 was spent in May 2026 on the passenger seat control unit, which received a specialist overhaul using a replacement circuit board. The car has also been serviced by Harvey Walsh Ltd in 2026.
