Robsport International
After years of enjoying classic sports cars as a hobby, my father, Rob, founded Robsport International in 1989 (hence the name, Rob + sports cars!). Leaving behind a career managing engineers for a multinational company, his true passion for Triumphs led him on an adventure to California, where he returned with a selection of stunning TRs, other British classics, and a treasure trove of spare parts. This marked the beginning of our sales and spares operation!
Growing up surrounded by Triumphs, it was almost inevitable that I’d develop my own passion for classic cars. Despite not passing my initial “interview” with my father, I (Simon) joined the business in the early ’90s after completing an apprenticeship in electronics. Fast forward to today, and I’m proud to now run the company!
We remain a family-run business to this day. My wife and mother handle the all-important admin and finance roles, my son Luke is our resident IT wizard who built our website and ordering systems, and my son Josh, who rebuilt his own Herald convertible, manages our social media and assists customers onsite.
Since 2004, we’ve operated from our current location, with a shop and parts warehouse stocking a comprehensive range of Triumph parts. Wayne, our Office Manager, leads the parts and mail-order side of the business with his fantastic team. Meanwhile, our workshops, headed by Ben, continue to deliver top-notch mechanical work with exceptional attention to detail. We pride ourselves on offering competitive labour rates, free estimates, and a welcoming atmosphere (including a great cup of tea).
While Triumphs are our speciality, we’re passionate about all vehicles that fall under the “old and interesting” category. Whether it’s four wheels, or even three, we’d love to hear from you!
