In an unusual move from Lamborghini’s Centro Stile division, the 2021 Monterey Car Week saw the forward-thinking design studio indulge in nostalgia with the unveiling of the Countach LPI 800-4. A stunning modern interpretation of the seminal 1970s supercar, the limited-production LPI 800-4 paid homage to the original while showcasing the company's latest technological underpinnings.

Based on the Aventador's carbon fiber architecture, the LPI 800-4 employed a state-of-the-art hybrid powertrain pairing the Aventador’s glorious naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine producing 769 horsepower with a 34-horsepower 48-volt electric motor. The innovative system, similar to that used in the Sián hypercar, utilized a supercapacitor rather than a conventional lithium-ion battery, resulting in a total output of 803 horsepower while offering optimal efficiency and weight savings.
