Built 26th November 1969 as a left hand drive roadster this S2 was dispatched 9th Jan. to British Leyland Motors New York, originally coloured Willow green with a beige interior. It was retuned to the UK and re registered in 1988.

Subsequent restoration work was carried out by the E Type centre including repainting the car to its current colour, conversion to right hand drive and the fitment of triple SU carbs. The car comes with a comprehensive history file of maintenance that shows continued care going back to the 1990’s, more recently the car has undergone further work including fitting a new alternator, water pump and starter motor and Kenlow fan and it was completely re trimmed with a new soft top and black interior in 2024.

Showing 85,400 miles it comes with many old MoT’s the earliest that goes back to 1993 when the car was showing 60,980 miles.

Mechanically the car drives well, the integrity of the body remains solid, however being an older restoration there are a few marks in the paint but overall it’s very presentable.

This a fine and usable example, a classic that you can actually enjoy, supplied with a good history file.
